Margaret Flockton talk at Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney

In October 2012 I gave an illustrated talk about the life of the botanical artist Margaret Flockton as part of the highly successful Capturing Flora exhibition at the Ballarat Art Gallery.

On Monday 15th April 2013 at 10.30 am I’ll be giving a similar illustrated talk at the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney (Caley Seminar Room). Admission to the talk is free but bookings are essential. The RGBS website has booking details. Hope to see you there.

I remember Margaret Flockton (1861-1953), a.k.a. 'Aunt Mog', from my early childhood and have spent many years researching her life. The resulting book has been a long time in the making, but hopefully will be published in 2013.

Some of Margaret Flockton's beautiful work forms part of the current Capturing Flora exhibition at the S H Ervin Gallery in Sydney. The exhibition runs from Friday 15 February to Sunday 17 March.
