My topic will be the botanical artist Margaret Flockton (1861-1953), a.k.a. 'Aunt Mog', who I remember from my early childhood. I've spent many years researching the Flocktons, Margaret in particular, and all will soon be revealed in my book about her life.
Some of Margaret Flockton's beautiful work will form part of the Gallery’s forthcoming exhibition Capturing Flora – 300 years of Australian botanical art. The exhibition runs from Tuesday 25 September to Sunday 2 December.
